passes Master National!
Thor
and owner/trainer/handler Dave Renner were one of the 92 AKC
Master Hunters who passed the Master National Hunt Test in
Palestine, TX in October 2005. Approximately 300 dogs started
the test and less than a third were able to survive the grueling
6 series that the Master National deals to it's competitors.

Thor
is 88 lbs. of twisted steel. He is a hunting machine who competes
in AKC and UKC hunt tests. The “Swamp Ghost” completed
his UKC HRCH title at 2 years old and is a registered AKC Master
Hunter. He also has participated in NFRA stakes and AKC Field
Trials. We have participated in the UKC Grand Hunt in Louisiana
and Texas (3rd series both times) He is amateur handled at all
these events and has only spent 7 months with professional trainers.
Thor's pedigree encompasses both Hunt Test and Field Trial dogs.

White Lightning Retrievers makes every effort to improve the
Labrador breed with every litter that we sire. Our goal is to
produce quality hunting dogs that can also double as valuable
members to our client's households. We prefer to breed during
the winter and summer months as we concentrate our time in the
fall and spring campaigning across the Southwestern US running
dog trials. We pride ourselves in taking care of bitches that
we breed and have references available (upon request).
Thor is currently residing north of Dallas. Please give us a
call to discuss your expectations of a stud dog.
Required Bitch Qualifications for breeding:
OFA hip certification
Bitches must be at least two years old, no "preliminary" hip
checks
Negative brucellosis test within 10 days of breeding
Eye certification preferred
AKC and/or UKC registration
At the time of the breeding, we can board the females at our
location. We are also open to artificial insemination (AI) from
a veterinarian that meets White Lightning's approval. Bitches
can also be shipped to Dallas/Fort Worth and Love Field airports.
Pricing:
We do not believe is setting a fixed price for our stud services.
I am open to negotiation concerning payment options. I require
payment before I will sign any paperwork registering the litter.
